16 days in Australia! (Part 1)

mood: meh
now playin':I'll be your strength - The Wanted
This post has been in my draft since 12th October, a MONTH ago & my trip was TWO MONTHS ago. -.- I'm mad lazy to update a whole lot of things. So I'll put my longass post into parts. Pardon me. I've uploaded all the photos on my FB & I'll give yall the link to it here! :)

Okay, so I was supposed to leave on the 18th of September but I was discussing something with my mom and all and before I knew it, I was on the phone for hours with the SIA customer service people trying to get my flight changed just so I could leave the next day instead of waiting for the 18th. Thankfully, I was able to get a seat for the flight the next day at 11:50pm, the 13th!! It was a crazy decision! So last minute and so impromptu that thankfully, I was already half done with my packing! Of course, changing my flight meant I had to pay a fee. But meh. It was a small sum, totally worth me leaving singapore 5days early!

So the next day, my bro and mom went to the airport with me (my sister was in Paris at that time). In the midst of all the rush, I forgot to bring my Pink(black)berry!!!!!! :( I couldn't tweet or whatsapp anyone! :( All I had was my HTC Mozart7 that had a prepaid card with no data plan. Yall have no idea how handicapped I felt! (I ended up having at least 10ppl who texted me, 4 who BBMed me & 5 who whatsapped me wishing me bon voyage & all. I replied everyone 16days late. HAHAHAHA. Oops!)

Anyways, I had to rush to the airport at least a half hour before I check-in cos I had some admin stuff to settle due to the changes in my flight. Had dinner with mom & bro @ Popeyes before them sending me off. It was my FIRST time flying alone and visiting Australia. All sorts of emotions overwhelmed me!

Of course I even had the thought that I might die in the plane or some shit like that. Why? Because I watched Final Destination 5 like 2 days before I left. WTF! Worse decision, EVER. -.-

Bro's friend was working on the same plane that I was in and she was really pleasant! Practically every steward & stewardess there knew my name, took extra care of me and I was given this "goodie bag" full of tidbits, which I clearly couldn't finish! Hahahah. OH! And previously, the flight I booked, I got a window seat but after changing flights, I was told all window seats were taken, but thankfully, upon check-in, I did get my window seat!!! Best part? I GOT BOTH THE SEATS ALL TO MYSELF!!!!!! (Y) Fucking shiok!

So back to how well I was being treated, they checked in on me every 15minutes with a,"Hi Miss Diyana, how are you feeling? Would you like us to get any thing for you? Please do not hesitate to ask us for anything. *insert wide smile*" SERIOUSLY, HOW PLEASANT, RIGHT!? (Y) Macam VIP. Hahahahahaha! Fucking hilarious. The people around me were looking at me like,"who the fuck are you? You're just a kid so why are every one of them entertaining you so much??" Hahahahah. I was smirking to all these people. And another upside? THE PLANE WAS FILLED WITH HOT AUSSIES. OH! And they all thought I'm only around 15 or 16years old! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAH. WOAHHHHHHH~ Do I look young or whuttttttttt?!?!?!?!?! *flicks hair*

DFGHJKLKJIUYTREDTFGYHJIKLLKJHGFDCGVHJKL. Eyegasm, if you may! HAHAHAHA! Imagine that! It was like a little "preview" to what I can expect on my trip! :D

After a long, sleepless (I couldn't sleep at ALL! Prolly too excited!) 7 hours plane ride, after having supper (it sucked. I barely even touched the food) and a pleasant continental breakfast, WE WERE ABOUT TO LAND! KJHGFDFGHJKJHGFDFGHJ omgggggg. FINALLY.

Day 1:

I arrived at 8:10am, took forever to get past the customs. -.- I was so scared Frizzy would forget to pick me up! But thankfully, I saw her! I still remember the FIRST THING I said to her,"OMFG. I AM REALLY HERE. LIKE I'M ACTUALLY IN AUSTRALIA!" HAHAHAHA! True story! And the moment I stepped out of the airport, I was like,"holy shit!!!! It's colder outside than it is inside!!!" Wtf! I never thought the difference of temperatures would be so different! I mean when I saw that the highest temperature was 16degrees and the lowest was 8degrees, I never thought it was possible, WITH THE SUN!

What a noob! Smh.

Yes this is her crib!

So anyways, we headed to her place first to put my stuff down and head to Woolsworth (Woolies) to do some grocery shopping done. Headed back cos I was sleepy & she had school to attend. So I had around 3hours to rest, unpack & whatever! (Y) First thing I did was to get my ass on FB, update my status, chat with my mom (yeah, I'm a real mommy's girl) and then I went to sleep! It was mad shiok! My room was big! It's like the master bedroom (or slightly bigger), just without the attached bathroom! And it was the PERFECT weather to sleep! I had a really good sleep till Frizzy came home, I washed up & we went to the city! Because my trip being moved forward was unplanned, Frizzy still had to work, so while she worked, I went around to the nearby shops & got to do a little shopping! :D She brought me to the Jetty (I can't remember which jetty), had dinner & ice cream.

Day2:

Woke up at 11am (which is 930am in SG), washed up, went to the Asian Grocery store & Brickworks Markets to find us some halal meat! Had lunch at the crib before heading to Marion shopping centre where I had a taste of the pretzels there, nomnom! Fucking shiok! & I bought this really cute satchel bag & booties at a total steal! I swear K-mart's awesome! It was nearing sunset so she drove us to a beach nearby to camwhore & watch the sunset &....OMYGAWD.

IT WAS MAGNIFIQUE~

Then we headed to HarbourTown to do even more shopping! A lot of people were telling me that the things in Aussie's pretty expensive, and even though I was in Adelaide (that had one of the lowest cost of living), the things were still pretty expensive. But when I was there, there was a mid-season sale going on EVERYWHERE!!! LUCKY OR WHUT!? So I went mad & shopped shopped & SHOPPED!

Here are the all photos from the plane & Days 1 & 2.

Your experience reminded me of the first time i went to Perth. I was yaya papaya in shorts and walk out of the airport in a winter afternoon. (it look bright and sunny out there)

When the wind blew, i ran straight back in!

I went there just after winter, was all covered up & I was freezing! Can't imagine how you felt having done that IN WINTER! Never thought it was possible with the sun! Haha.
